A Tiny Handful

3 destinations / 3 nights each (ish)
3 new airlines / 2 new departure airports

This summer I decided not to go very far. There were numerous reasons.  First, I am in the midst of saving for a once- in-a- lifetime trip to Antarctica. No expensive summer break could be justified.  Second, the idea of eventually leaving Taiwan is once again on my mind, and I have a driving desire to use up Asia.  Especially, I want to use up those parts of Asia that are visa-free for South Africans.  As a resident of Taiwan, visiting her outlying islands requires only my resident certificate.  I've long wanted to visit Kinmen and Matsu because of their impossible proximity to Mainland China. The flights were cheap and hungrily booked. Of the other visa-free destinations, Macau offered the shortest and most inexpensive flight.
